The frame.io platform now on tablet

The frame.io platform makes the leap from mobile to iPad to improve workflows. For some time now, the collaboration platform used by many professionals has been available on mobile devices, but now frame.io will have an iPad app. What they intend to achieve with this is to further improve daily workflows and facilitate collaboration processes.

Frame.io is a platform used by more and more professionals in the audiovisual sector to share materials, check dailies or review effects, among other functions and often these processes are carried out from the mobile, but depending on the type of material being reviewed, it may be insufficient resolution that is achieved on a mobile screen. Taking advantage of the quality of iPad screens, they wanted to launch an application for this market and help to have a more reliable image.

Not only do we gain in better visualization, but also in new functionalities that are lost with the mobile. With the iPad application we can stay in touch via slack or Facetime while having the frame.io application open. Since it is an iPad, the annotations can be more accurate and precise with the pencil in the form of drawings, notes or even photoshop montages.

Depending on the position we have in the work chain, we may be more interested in the desktop application, the DaVinci Resolve DaVinci Resolve integration or mobile. Of course, this new option of being able to work remotely with the material opens up new work possibilities for directors of photography, directors, producers, etc…
