Latest from EIZO on the market is the launch of its new Color Edge CS2740 monitor. One more to its collection that has been expanded in recent months.
EIZO’s new monitor aims to reach smaller productions without losing quality. It is a more compact monitor than its previous model, the CS 2730 but with an increase in the number of pixels. It is a 27-inch 4K Ultra High Definition monitor with 10-bit input. To enjoy the 10-bit input and output we will need a graphics card and software suitable for working in 10-bit. We will also need a Deep Color compatible device in case we want to use the HDMI input.
As for calibration, being a monitor designed for both home and production work in tight conditions, the Cs2740 is compatible with ColorNavigator technology. This allows us to calibrate the monitor in just 90 seconds and according to the type of work we are going to do with the monitor. Whether we use it for editing or for checking video or photo material, the color representation is quite reliable as it covers up to 99% of Adobe RGB colors.
This model can be highlighted for its practicality when it comes to facilitating and simplifying daily work with monitors. It has a USB Type-C port so that it can be connected directly to a laptop or desktop computer without further complication than the connection with the USB C cable. In addition to the USB Type-C input, as mentioned above, it has an HDMI port , Display Port and two USB ports.
EIZO also presents its monitor Foris Nova. A 21.6-inch OLED monitor but intended for entertainment but developed with the technological features of what could be a professional monitor. The monitor, which goes on sale with only 500 units on the market will be able to play content in 4K and even HDR and supports HLG and 80% of the BT2020 curve. For entertainment it has a contrast of 1,000,000:1.
We still don’t know when these 2 new EIZO models will be released, but we will keep an eye out for more news.
