Sony launches the UWP-D series of wireless microphones

The Sony brand has launched its new UWP-D series of wireless microphones wireless microphones mainly focused on their camera models DSLR and DSLM camera models.

The new UWP-D11 wireless microphone model features the UTX-B03 bodypack as transmitter and the URX-P03 as receiver. The microphone that completes the kit is a high quality omnidirectional Lavalier microphone. The set as a whole provides higher quality sound recording thanks to the joint work of digital audio processing together with foolproof analog FM modulation. They cover a bandwidth of 72 MHz, depending on the area, with a wide frequency coverage. It has an automatic channel scanning mode that allows the user to search for available frequencies quickly.

Being a model designed for smaller cameras, the pouches and accessories are also smaller than the previous model to better adapt to these cameras, up to 20% smaller. Although it has a smaller size, the screen of the transmitter and receiver are quite large for ease of use, 11.5 mm x 27.8 mm.

On the other hand, the receiver is able to fit perfectly on any DSLR due to its small size of 63 mm x 82 mm x 23.8 mm.

To ensure the highest quality audio signal, the UWP-P system has a dual signal output system. The signal is emitted from two different sections of the receiver and the comparison circuit chooses the best quality signal.

It incorporates a connector for headphone outputto monitor the signal. This is very useful especially for cameras that do not have their own headphone output. It also allows the input of a signal through line. Depending on the camera being used, the signal level may vary. This is why the UWP-D kit has a 12dB variable output level to help achieve an optimum signal level.
