Matrox Video has announced the release of its new unified software driver, currently PC-compatible only, that provides support for recent updates to the Avid Media Composer family and Adobe CS6 Production Premium Collection.
This driver works with MXO2, MXO2 MAX and the Mojito MAX card. All of them are Matrox I/O devices that allow realtime editing, video input and output, streaming, capture and playout servers, or signal conversion. In addition, the latter two are specially designed to accelerate H.264 encoding.
With HDMI Calibration Utility, a feature present in all three products, you can perform broadcast monitoring (HD/SD), with 10-bit, 4:2:2 color accuracy, from an HDMI-enabled monitor( read more about thishere ).

Thanks to this 7.1 update, if you work with Media Composer 6.5 editing systems or Premiere Pro CS6, you will be able to control functions such as the punch-in audio feature in MC, or the recording of voice-overs within Premiere through any of these devices.
Beta support for the new Windows 8, 64-bit operating system has also been included.
The PC 7.1 software update is now available as a free download (from the Matrox website) for registered users. If you are not yet a registered user, and would like to purchase any of Matrox’s products, you can do so through authorized dealers.
And for those of you who use Macintosh, you will have to wait until January to get the driver (version 3.3), which will provide support for Apple Final Cut Pro X and Compressor, in addition to the aforementioned applications from Avid and Adobe.
