Eizo, the renowned manufacturer of professional monitors, has revamped its ColorEdge line with a new 24.1-inch LCD model with 1920 x 1200 native resolution.
The new CG247X will enter the market during September (as planned) as the successor to the CG247, although it features several improvements over the CG247.
This monitor is capable of reproducing 98% of the DCI-P3 standard, a difference of 95% compared to its smaller brother (CG247). It has different presets for working with EBU, Rec. 709, SMPTE-C and DCI color spaces, which can be accessed through the buttons on the front.
By combining the integrated calibration sensor with the ColorNavigator software, fast self-calibration can be achieved. If you prefer, you can also use ColorNavigator NX (QC), which allows user management and control for calibration, emulation and color mode adjustments.
Another improvement is in the contrast ratio, which is now 1500:1. In addition, the CG247X comes equipped with a retardant film to retain black depth and only needs 3 minutes to achieve stable brightness.
In terms of design, the front buttons are LED backlit for easy location in dark environments. A visor is also included to protect the screen from reflections and has been redesigned to be magnetically attached to the monitor.
Finally, it comes with DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI-D inputs.
