Red Giant has just introduced Magic Bullet Suite 13, a new version of its popular collection of on-set color correction, finishing and post-production software.
As announced, this is the first time they have made each and every color correction tool deliver real-time performance in Adobe Premiere, through Mercury Playback support.
Also noteworthy is the new Renoiser tool, which generates texture and grain on the material.
These are the new additions to each of the software in the collection:
Magic Bullet Looks 4.0
As mentioned above, the major upgrade to Magic Bullet Looks comes in the form of Adobe Mercury Playback technology, which provides real-time performance thanks to GPU acceleration (OpenGL/OpenCL).
Apart from this, new look presets have been added, the way to save and access presets has been improved, and there are new tools such as “Source”, “Renoiser” and “Mojo II”.
It is now possible to rescale the scopes for a more detailed analysis of the image.
Magic Bullet Colorist IV
Red Giant has added to its color correction software something called “Guided Color Correction”, which divides the process into seven steps in which it “guides” the user to make the necessary adjustments.
A new panel for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects has also been added, making it easier to access the main tools.
Finally, support for LUTs, working with logarithmic material, temperature and tint controls and RGB curves with dots are included.
Magic Bullet Denoiser III
Denoiser is a tool that has been completely redesigned with the aim of making it faster and easier. Therefore, the interface has been revamped with simpler controls and the performance is better due to GPU acceleration.
Magic Bullet Mojo II
Mojo is used to generate “Blockbuster” looks quickly with a few clicks. Now, a complementary color palette has been included that provides a “more cinematic” look.
In addition, as in Bullet Looks, support for logarithmic material has been incorporated and performance has been improved thanks to GPU OpenGL or OpenCL acceleration.
Of course, they have also included new functions such as tinting, color temperature, exposure or vignette.
Magic Bullet Cosmo II
Magic Bullet Cosmo, the software for skin work, now comes with a new sampling tool, which allows you to select the skin tone through a picker, new blurring algorithms and visual feedback to make sure of the area you are affecting.
Magic Bullet Renoiser
Renoiser is a completely new software for adding texture and grain on the material.
Although fully customizable, it includes 16 presets based on real negative, such as 16mm and 8mm.
Works with GPU acceleration (OpenCL and OpenGL)
Magic Bullet Film 1.2
The only new feature implemented in Bullet Film is GPU acceleration with OpenGL and OpenCL support.
The price for the complete collection is $899, and for upgrading from previous versions is $299.
The LUT Buddy software has been discontinued because both Bullet Looks and Colorista can now load LUTs.
