Fujifilm announces its new mirrorless camera X-T4

Fujifilm expands its X range with the new Fujifilm X-T4 mirrorless camera. The new X model brings some new features that Fujifilm fans have been waiting for a long time, such as the integrated stabilizer, new shutter or some design changes such as the rear screen.

Fujifilm announces the new model as the most powerful they have ever made. Designed for both still and video photography, it is a new camera that is light, fast and now more stable. It is the first X-T mirrorlesss to include an integrated stabilization system (IBIS). It is a 5-axis stabilization system that dampens shutter movements for more stable shots. They have also added gyro sensors that complement the function of the IBIS system. It is based on the same mechanism as the X-H1 but goes one step further, improving its design with magnetic force instead of springs, reducing its size but improving stabilization.

The shutter is another highlight of the new X-T4, this time Fujifilm has opted for an ultra-fast focal plane shutter with DC motor. This allows you to shoot bursts of 15 frames per second and with only 0.035 seconds of delay. Noise is reduced by 30% and the lifetime of the shutter is increased with about 300,000 more activations.

The mirrorless camera has a 26.1-megapixel back-illuminated sensor, the X-TransTM CMOS 4 and an X-Processor 4 image processor that together make it a fast camera. Fujifilm has put a lot of emphasis on color and has employed Fujifilm’ s color reproduction technology to allow for a wide variety of shooting options. It incorporates many creative modes such as ETERNABleach Bypass, you can further adjust the tonality in 1/2 stop by adjusting the signal between -2 and +4.

For the video part, there are also some new features and it has been announced that it will be able to record Full HD video at 240 fps to achieve 10x slow motion. The autofocus system is improved thanks to the new algorithm and phase detection processing that achieves focus in 0.02 seconds.

It includes a new , longer-lasting battery, the NP-W235 model. In terms of camera design, Fujifilm has included a 1620-dot multi-angle rear display.

The new Fujifilm X-T4 will go on sale in April for 1.799€ for the body only, although it is available with 2 lens kits, the XF18-55mm or the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm.
