Version 7 of the award-winning Avid Media Composer editing system has arrived. This update, announced at NAB, accelerates and simplifies high-resolution workflows and extends production in real time, from anywhere, thanks to Media Composer Interplay Edition.
Highlights include the ability to import 2K and 4K material (for HD delivery), background processing and new automation tools. In this article published last April you can read more about all its added features.
Blackmagic Design, which announced yesterday that its entire range of DeckLink, UltraStudio and Intensity products will be compatible with this latest Avid update, has also joined this news.
All of them provide high performance for capture and playback in compressed and uncompressed formats on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. In addition, they are equipped with Thunderbolt and PCIe technology and can be purchased as external or internal models.
