Simple speed ramps in After Effects

Let’s end the week with a very simple plugin called Prolost Speedramp and developed by Stu Maschwitz, filmmaker and VFX supervisor.

Prolost Speedramp is a preset for After Effects that helps to quickly and easily create speed ramps.

Through its sliders you can set up to five different speeds, and through the Layer Markers you create the transition points (their duration is adjusted separately), so that you can have up to five different settings in the same composition.

In addition, Speedramp includes a calculator to help determine the percentages needed in cases where we move between two frame rates.
