RED Epic reaches 6K

RED has announced the Dragon sensor upgrade, thanks to which it will be possible to capture 85fps in 6K and up to 120fps in 5K, with 15 steps of dynamic range.

According to “Jim” Jannard, founder of the company, the sensor size will be slightly larger than Mysterium-X, and the pixel size will be slightly smaller.

For RED Epic it will cost $6,000 and will be available later this year. The price for RED Scarlet will have to wait until 2013.
