RE:Vision Effects, creators of effects and plug-ins for modifying and enhancing images, has revamped its ReelSmart Motion Blur and DE:Noise products to make them compatible with Final Cut Pro X (10.0.4) and Motion 5.
ReelSmart Motion Blur, or RSMB, creates a more natural motion in the image by automatically adding a blur filter. The work we will have to do by hand is greatly reduced, as it has built-in tracking technology that makes it work. Even so, it has parameters to increase or decrease the blur.
This type of tool can be very useful to give a more cinematic feel to your video by applying a slight blur to the entire image. It can also be used to reintroduce a blur to shots where a chroma key has been applied.
RSMB also has a Pro version, which is a bit more expensive, but includes a Motion plugin that allows blur to be applied taking into account tracking vectors supplied from a 3D animation system.
ReelSmart Motion Blur version 5 for Final Cut Pro and Motion costs $89.95 and $149.95 for the Pro version. You can download the trial version here.
DE:Noise includes a host of options for extracting defects that may arise in the image frame by frame. From digital noise and smudges or dirt on the film, to fingerprints or other artifacts, DE:Noise combines motion estimation techniques with special sensitivity functions and filtering methods, preserving the clarity and clarity of the image. To achieve this, it combines motion estimation techniques with special sensitivity functions and filtering methods, while preserving the clarity of the image.
Here is a tutorial in which you can see a demonstration of the results obtained and also explains how to apply the different options included in the effect.
DE:Noise for FCP and Motion costs $149.95, and you can download the trial version here.
The demo versions do not have a specific time limit, but your images will be marked with an “X”.
For users who already have previous licenses for both products (RSMB v4 and DE:Noise v2 for FCP 6 or 7), the upgrade to Final Cut Pro X will be free of charge.
In addition to these two systems, ReelSmart Motion Blur and DE:Noise are also available for Premiere, After Effects, Avid and more. You can find the complete list on the demo download pages.
