EditShare has just released a major update that had already been announced since the previous version(11.1.1) in November. This is Lightworks 11.5 for Windows and Linux, the first version that has this editing system available on two platforms at the same time.
Revamped interface
In order to make editing as quick and easy as possible, the user interface has been revamped to make it fully customizable.
Background tasks
With this update you will be able to perform import, export and background rendering tasks.
New export options
Export options can now be accessed from any screen in the interface, be it a bin, the viewport or the edit window, where you can find default settings that will help you when making adjustments. This is what the company has called “smarter menus”, which also allow you to access effects marked as favorites.
In addition, the possibility of exporting to Youtube by uploading the file directly from Lightworks has been added.
Multi-camera enhancements
Multi-camera editing has been significantly improved in this version, especially when considering the synchronization of the different angles. An option has also been included that allows you to easily view the different clips both in the timeline and in the created group, as well as to edit directly by dragging from the thumbnails.
More hardware supports
In the Windows version, and only for users with the Pro license, support for AJA I/O devices(Kona and Io XT) has been included.

Changes in the different versions
Until now, if you did not have the paid version it was not possible to add titles or natively import a large number of professional and consumer formats. However, with this update the free version has these possibilities, although it is limited in the output options to web formats, such as MPEG4/H.264, and up to a resolution of 720p.
In addition, the Pro version includes advanced project sharing options, hardware I/O support, user-definable project locations and s3D output.
New payment methods
Monthly and annual subscriptions have been added as payment methods, with the following prices:
- Monthly subscription: 5.99€.
- Annual subscription: 59.99€.
- Full version: 214.99€.
