How was your summer? We are back with our batteries charged to continue sharing the latest news about the audiovisual sector, to share with you new files of the most popular cameras and, above all, to continue expanding the community of 709 Media Room and Red 709.
During this month of August in which we have been absent, the companies have launched some new products and important updates that we will be commenting on these days. One of them was the public beta version of Fusion.
This news came a few days ago from Blackmagic Design, which launched the public beta for the free version of Fusion 8, the tool for visual effects and motion graphics that they bought not long ago from Eyeon.
Mac users will be happy to know that this is the first version compatible with that operating system (until now it was a product limited to Windows). One of the great advantages of this is that projects can be moved seamlessly between different machines, even if they have different OS.
Fusion 8 comes with the following integrated functions:
- 2D and 3D compositing and motion graphics
- Painting
- Rotoscopy
- Qualification
- Animation
- Multiple keyers
- 3D particle system
- Advanced keyframing
- GPU Acceleration
- Support for rendering 3D models and sequences from other applications
This beta is available for Windows, Linux or Mac OS X systems. The company also announced that we will soon have the beta for Fusion 8 Studio ($995), which will include s3D tools, stabilization, retiming and will be designed for workgroups.
