Just a month and a half ago, Digital Film Technology (DFT), a company dedicated to film and video post-production solutions, introduced a new dailies system called FLEXXITY.
Now, DFT has announced that version 1.5 of this software, on Macintosh platforms, is available for download from their website. They have also released a free 30-day trial that can be ordered from here.
This free demo gives users the opportunity to test and experiment with all the tools offered by FLEXXITY Dailies. This system has been developed to work both on set and in post production, and its functions cover all the necessary processes for dailies creation, such as video and audio synchronization, color correction, rescaling, timeline editing and LUTs application.
You can read more features about this software in the article we published when it was released.
The requirements for FLEXXITY for Mac are:
– Mac Pro, iMac or MacBook with OSX v10.7 Lion.
– Intel i5, i7 or the new “Nehalem” and “Westmere” processor series.
– 4GB of RAM, although 8GB is recommended.
– ATI or Nvidia graphics cards.
– Display resolution 1680×1050 (MacBook 15″), although it is suggested to reach 1920×1080.
In addition, DFT recently received certification from ARRI qualifying FLEXXITY Dailies as a software whose tools have ideal image processing for working with footage from Alexa cameras.
This system is fully compatible with the ARRI Alexa camera, due to its ability to read and debayer ARRIRAW files on-set (no need for conversions) while maintaining the image quality coming from the camera.
FLEXXITY Dailies also natively supports other formats, including ARRI Alexa formats (Quicktime and MXF); DPX; RED RAW; MXF; Quicktime and many more.
