Dive Housing, the new GoPro

GoPro, known for making probably the most versatile HD cameras in the world, announced yesterday the launch of its new Dive Housing accessory for capturing underwater images.

It consists of a large, flat glass lens that adapts to the camera allowing maximum sharpness for underwater videos or photographs (in all resolutions). It is a very practical way to make recordings while doing sports such as diving or snorkeling; although it is also perfectly valid for certain professional fiction productions, with water as the main scenario.

The elements included in Dive Housing are:

– Water resistant mount up to 197 feet/ 60 meters.
– Lens protector.
– Strap and chain for hardware assembly.

It is compatible with all HD HERO cameras, mounts and other GoPro accessories; adding to the model this new element that makes them even more versatile.
