Sony introduces its new HXC-FB80 camera for 4K/HD live production that offers operation for business and industry, as well as content creation for broadcast and production.

The new HXC-FB80 HD handheld camera is equipped with three 2/3″ Full HD ExmorTM CMOS sensors which offer a sensitivity of F13 at 50 Hz and F12 at 59.94 Hz in 1080 mode. It contains a normal signal-to-noise ratio of -60 dB.
The new 3G platform enhances the performance of Sony’s HXC-FB80 for 1080/50p and 59.94p signal processing while reducing power consumption. In addition, when combined with the 4K/HD camera control unit, the HXC-FB80 expands performance, including 4K enhancement and HD HDR (HLG, Hybrid Log-Gamma) support. In other words, c ompatible with the HXC-FB80 and HXCU-FB80. HD HDR compatibility requires a firmware update. The optional PC-based HZC-RCP5 remote control panel is also available to simplify the application system.
Sony’s HXC-FB80 in combination with the HXCU-FB80 camera control unit enables highly detailed images in 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution, making the HXC-FB80 system perfect for Ultra HD content creation. The camera can generate 3G-SDI signals, such as 1080/50p and 59.94p. The 3G processor also supports 1080/23.92PsF, in addition to 25PsF and 29.97PsF.
