Codex V-RAW recorder for the VariCam

Codex has developed the V-RAW recorder, which makes the most of Panasonic’s VariCam 35 cameras.

This model uses Codex’s latest generation of Capture Drive 2.0 discs, which feature a bandwidth of 20Gb/s. Thanks to this quality, it is possible to easily handle the 4K RAW up to 120fps that the recorder can achieve. It is also possible to capture the image without 12-bit compression, up to 30fps, or 10-bit up to 120fps.

The company wanted to simplify the assembly of the Codex V-RAW, so it has been designed with a direct connection module for the VariCam to eliminate wiring. In addition, the recorder powers the camera and has three 24V outputs for accessories.
