Canon has announced its new 4K cameras

Today Canon has issued a press release to announce the new products it will present at NAB. These are two new cameras, the Cinema EOS C500 and the EOS 1D C; plus four new zoom lenses.

The Cinema EOS C500, in 4K is capable of operating from 1 to 60fps, unlike the EOS 1D C (first DSLR in the Cinema series). Hopefully Canon will soon bring out a setting so that this DSLR can capture at 25fps, as it seems that at the moment it will only be able to do so at 24 (in 4K), something that could hinder post-production in Europe (25fps) in the sectors that this camera is aimed at.
