Blackmagic Deisgn has taken advantage of the context of the IBC show to present its new Ultimatte 12 digital compositor, with SDI 12G technology, for the elaboration of virtual scenarios and real-time image overlay.
The new Ultimatte 12 and its 12G SDI technology enables high-definition imaging and UHD content processing, and is compatible with a wide range of equipment.
In the words of Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design. “Ultimatte 12 is not simply an overlay device, but an electronic compositor designed specifically to meet the needs of the television and film industry.”
Ultimatte 12 is a processor that allows combining images in real time, even in combination with several cameras, correcting color differences between them.
It includes new algorithms, improved edge processing, as well as greater color separation, innovative colorimetry and color fidelity as never seen before. And it is precisely these new features that make Ultimatte 12 you can process each part of the image differently, allowing you to adjust edge details in areas where necessary
This device is controlled through the Ultimatte Smart Remote 4, which features a touch screen through which you can control up to 8 units connected via an ethernet cable. As well as buttons to set default settings.
Ultimatte 12 is now available for $9,995, while the Ultimatte Smart Remote 4 controller is available for $3,855.
