Table of professional video formats/codecs

There are many times when we find ourselves lost in the middle of the current salad of codecs, resolutions, formats, 444, 420, 902, jpeg, mxf, ps3, etc.

Here is a document to try to shed some light on the subject. It is a technical table of current professional video codecs.

The elaboration is personal, so there are not all the thousands that exist and there may be small errors, although I try to use the specifications given by the manufacturers as my sources of information.

The last column shows if there is any way (that I know of) to capture that format via USB or Firewire, without an external video capture device. Very practical information for post production or set work, as both are standard computer ports.
