Here’s an Avid tutorial for you to try over the weekend. Although it can’t be used in all occasions (miracles to Lourdes), the automatic stabilization tool of Avid Media Composer can get us out of some trouble with “shaky” material. Based on optical flow, since version 5 it can work automatically (as default) or customized. Obviously you get better results if the movement is in position and rotation, not in shot size.
In any case a powerful tool easy to use. I leave you a couple of tutorials that explain how to use it and also how to make simple trakers for blurs and those things that are used so much on TV 🙂
I hope you find them useful! Have a nice weekend 🙂
